Privacy policy

StoreParity has no accounts and no server. Your App Store Connect key, and everything StoreParity reads with it, stays on your devices. We receive anonymous usage counts, crash reports and the purchase record Apple shares when you buy Pro. This site counts visits without cookies.

Who we are

StoreParity is made by Indie AI Labs, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 98880217, in the Netherlands. We are the controller for the data described here. Write to support@storeparity.com about anything in this policy.

In the app

Your App Store Connect key

When you connect, StoreParity reads the .p8 file you choose and stores the key, its key ID and the issuer ID in the Keychain on that device, marked for this device only. It never sends the key to us. The app uses it to sign requests that go from your device directly to Apple's App Store Connect API. You can remove the key in Settings, and revoke it at any time in App Store Connect under Users and Access, Integrations.

Your apps, products and prices

What StoreParity reads from App Store Connect (your apps, products, prices, scheduled changes and the receipts of your jobs) is kept on your device. We cannot see it. Requests to App Store Connect carry your own data to Apple on your behalf, under Apple's privacy policy.

Anonymous usage counts

The app sends event names to Aptabase, an analytics service hosted in the European Union that uses no device identifiers. Examples are "welcome shown", "template applied" and "paywall shown", sometimes with one coarse label such as which template or why the paywall opened. Events never include your apps, products, prices, storefronts, key or anything read from App Store Connect. We use them to see which parts of StoreParity work and which confuse people, on the basis of our legitimate interest in improving the app.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, it sends a crash report to Sentry: the stack trace, the app and operating system versions and the device model. Personal data collection, screenshots, network breadcrumbs and request bodies are switched off, so a report never contains your key or your App Store Connect data. We use crash reports to fix the app, on the basis of our legitimate interest in software that works.

Purchases

StoreParity Pro is sold through Apple. Apple handles payment and never shares your payment details with us. To unlock Pro on your devices, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives the purchase record from Apple under an anonymous app user ID. We see which plan an anonymous ID has, not who you are. This is necessary to provide what you bought.

On your device

Settings, the apps you track, your free product and cached prices are stored on your device. Deleting the app deletes them; the Keychain item can also be removed in Settings first.

storeparity.com uses Simple Analytics, which counts page views and a few events (such as a click on the Mac App Store badge) without cookies and without collecting personal data. No consent banner is needed because nothing identifies you.

The launch list

If you leave your email address to hear when StoreParity is on the Mac App Store, the form stores it with our host, Netlify. We use it to send one launch email and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

Hosting

Netlify serves this site and, like any web host, processes your IP address in server logs to deliver pages and keep the service secure.

Support email

When you write to support, we keep the conversation for as long as we need it to help you, and at most two years after the last message. Mail reaches us through Porkbun's email forwarding.

Who processes data for us

Apple, which sells StoreParity and runs App Store Connect, acts as its own controller. Transfers outside the European Economic Area rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses otherwise.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask to see, correct, delete, restrict or receive a copy of personal data we hold about you, and object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Because StoreParity has no accounts, we usually hold very little: an email on the launch list, a support conversation, or a purchase record under an anonymous ID. Write to support@storeparity.com. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority where you live.

Children

StoreParity is a tool for app developers and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes are noted on this page for at least 30 days.
