We read every message.

Write to support@storeparity.com. Include your macOS version, the StoreParity version (StoreParity, About StoreParity) and what you did just before the problem. A screenshot helps, as long as it does not show your key.

Never send your App Store Connect key. Not the .p8 file, not its contents, not in a screenshot. We will never ask for it, and nobody needs it to help you.

Create an App Store Connect API key

You need a team API key with the App Manager role (Admin works too), the .p8 file Apple lets you download once, and the issuer ID. Only the Account Holder or an Admin can create team keys.

  1. Sign in to App Store Connect as the Account Holder or an Admin.
  2. Open Users and Access, then Integrations, then App Store Connect API and the Team Keys tab. The first time, the Account Holder has to request API access once.
  3. Click the add button, name the key (for example "StoreParity") and choose the App Manager role. That role can change prices; lower roles cannot.
  4. Click Download. You get a file named AuthKey_ followed by the key ID and .p8. Apple offers the download once, so keep the file somewhere safe and keep its name.
  5. Copy the Issuer ID shown above the list of keys.

An individual key also works: Users and Access, Integrations, Individual Keys. It carries your own user's access, and you leave the issuer ID empty when you connect. Apple's guide: Creating API keys for App Store Connect API.

Connect it to StoreParity

  1. On the welcome screen, click Connect App Store Connect.
  2. Choose the AuthKey_ .p8 file. StoreParity reads the key ID from its name.
  3. Paste the issuer ID, or leave it empty for an individual key, and click Connect. StoreParity checks the key with a read of your apps.

The key is stored in the Keychain on your Mac. To remove it, open Settings and click Disconnect; nothing changes in App Store Connect. To stop it working everywhere, revoke it in App Store Connect.

The sample workspace

Click Try the sample on the welcome screen to explore every screen with two fictional apps, Forma and Ledger. Nothing in the sample is sent to Apple, and nothing in it is part of Pro. Leave it with Exit sample on the home screen, in the File menu, or in Settings.

When something goes wrong

"The file name does not look like AuthKey_<key id>.p8"
StoreParity reads the key ID from Apple's file name. Choose the file as you downloaded it, without renaming it.
"Apple rejected the key"
The issuer ID does not match the key, or the key was revoked. Check the issuer ID on the Team Keys page.
"This key may not change prices"
The key's role is below App Manager. Create a new team key with the App Manager role; a key's role can't be edited after it's created.
"The stored key did not connect"
Usually the Mac was offline at launch. Click Try again. If the key was revoked, click Remove key and connect a new one.
A storefront is blocked after scheduling
App Store Connect holds a pending change the review did not list, often one made in App Store Connect or another tool after the review was built. Click Done: StoreParity reads the product again, and the new review lists that change under pending changes to replace. Everything accepted stays scheduled.
"Waiting for quota"
Apple allows each key a fixed number of requests per rolling hour. StoreParity shows when there's room to start, and can start then on its own.
